What did we like about El Poeta? Everything! Beautifully restored, very helpful and friendly staff and extremely well located in the old part of Rhonda. We got a fantastic deal with this hotel, infact the cheapest of our stay in sourthern Spain, yet it was also the best hotel. Yes it lacked a swimming pool, but after 12 days of swimming everday, this was not such a big thing for us. Initially we had travelled to Granada for 2 days, but in retrospect wished we had stayed in Ronda for the 2 nights in this hotel instead of 1 night. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. Superb!
The staff was attentive, accomodating and polite. The hotel is in excellent condition and the location is prime for exploration of the town.
The staff, the location, the breakfast the view from the room were all excellent!
Perfect location, next to the Puente Nuevo. Beautiful traditional hotel. We stayed in one of the Junior Suites, which was spacious and clean. Perfect service, everyone did their best to make our stay at Ronda as special as possible. I would definitely return to El Poeta during a next visit to Ronda!
This hotel was amazing. Firstly, the staff was always focused on our comfort and ensuring we were well-looked after, throughout our stay. The location of the hotel is perfect, approx. 75m from the bridge. The hotel has a lot of charm and is intimate, with I would estimate a maximum of 12 rooms. Breakfast was included, which we were pleasantly surprised by a full menu, freshly squeezed juices and great coffee. Loved the hotel and especially the staff, in a great location. If you can, book this hotel.
The only comment, which is minor, is that we are a couple in their late 30s and we were stuck with twin beds...and also given the small and intimate settings, we could hear noises and neighbours within the hotel, but I would still highly recommend the hotel.
The staff were the most accommodating we have experienced, from the housekeeper to the owner. There was nothing too much to ask for. The breakfast was so plentiful we had to split one instead of ordering two. The owner also always sent over a little surprise to finish the meal. The rooms and decorations were spectacular. The art and architecture a treat.
It is something they can do nothing about. The noise from the town and street is awful. Also because of the beautiful marble floors it is noisy in the hotel itself. There are only 10 rooms which is wonderful, but you hear everyone dragging their suitcases down the halls. Maybe some carpet runners would be a good idea.
the furnishings, the location, hospitality and the wonderful staff
Well located within easy walk to most attractions in this beautiful town. Very helpful and friendly staff. Good breakfast included in tariff. Old world charm hotel.
Located on an extremely busy road. Rooms on the road side are very noisy until around midnight. A back room would be much better but I suspect still a little noisy. Room was a little tight for two people. ie. no room for a chair.
Old and very nice hotel
Very much noise from street hole night, terrible. The bed was to small for two persons, like a singel bed.
good, clean, hotel, rooms were also kept spotlessly clean staff were attentive at any time of the night or day easy walking distant to anywhere in Ronda and less than a minutes walk from the bridge. the patio at the front of the hotel is excellent for having breakfast on and evening drinks. would definately stay there again
Our stay at El Poeta de Ronda was amazing. The hotel is new, clean, bright, and the rooms all have character, as does the hotel. It is the former home of a famous poet from Ronda so the entire place has charm and history. The front patio is gorgeous and a beautiful place for breakfast, or an afternoon drink. The staff was amazing. The night person - Andre- actually delicately packed an entire breakfast to go for us because we were catching a 6am train. I have never had this happen to me before. And Vero - at the front desk during the day- was lovely and helpful and made our stay special. The location is spectacular- right in the center of things, making it easy to stop by repeatedly during the day as it is close to everything. And, Ronda- what a town. Gorgeous. I loved every moment I spent there and at the hotel and was very sad to leave. You will not be disappointed by this place. Highly recommended.
We enjoyed a wonderful room, the decor was eloquent and tasteful. Boutique hotel, first rate air conditioning, clean, friendly staff, speak English , front desk manager extemely informative and pleasant. Great food at the attached restaurant (French chef).
A lovely hotel with lots of natural sunlight in the center of Ronda minutes away from all the main attractions. Hotel staff is absolutely Great; they are very friendly and really go out of their way to please you. Spacious shower room, clean room with nice decor. Excellent !
